Created in 2020, Xhale Brew Co is Alberta's first female and LGBTIQ2S+ founded brewery, with a vision to be Alberta's first cooperative employee-owned brewery, and a goal to make the world a better place one pint at a time. They aim to brew world class beer and create awareness through social and political commentary and messaging. They are unapologetic in their compassion and approach to what they believe is the right thing to do for the sustainability of humanity and our environment.

It wasn’t Christmas without Aunty Rene’s homemade plum pudding, a recipe passed down over 100yrs that filled hearts and bellies. The week before Aunty Rene passed from breast cancer at the grand age of 96, she was baking so the family wouldn’t be without. This beer is a tribute to the love she put into each one. Using Italian plums, a complex grain bill, graham crackers, and a subtle blend of Christmas baking spices, this Porter is a unique experience of dark dried fruit, light spices, sweet, toasty breadiness that is balanced, dry and perfectly robust to pair with every Yule celebration.

A collaboration between mates, for mates. This UK-classic has subtle citrus and earthy hops on a dry, sweet-cracker base, balanced with cold-infused Calgary-roasted Dingo Coffee Co. beans for depth. Just like the connections we need.

Mates For Life is being released to promote the Centre for Suicide Prevention’s Buddy Up campaign, which is “a call to action for men, by men: champion men’s suicide prevention by having thoughtful, honest conversations with each other.”

Queen Bee Honey Blond pays tribute to all the Queens who have gone before us, doing the hard work of opening doors, and those who will come after us, paving more paths. Uniquely using Dandelion Honey from Fallentimber Meadery and new-world French hops, Queen Bee is a complex balance of apple blossom, mandarin zest, and balanced honey sweetness that finishes perfectly dry with a hint of spice. A portion of the sales from Queen Bee are donated to Gems for Gems, an organization that provides financial education and training to domestic abuse survivors.

A few years ago, a bunch of ex-pat mates got together & brewed a 100L batch for Australia Day. Now, years later, we have a growing tradition - with a cooperative community effort with a part of the profits donated to a different cause each year.
