I was a West Coast guy stuck on the prairies; living in Calgary most of my life, I craved real surf not just the waves in the Albertan wheat fields. I relocated to British Columbia and since living in Vancouver from 2009, I now call this amazing, eclectic province home.

What some people don’t know about me is that I am a chess player, a volleyball freak, and a snowboard team coach. I love nature and will find any excuse to get out there; whether it’s kiteboarding, snowboarding or surfing, I love it here!

For over 12 years, I was ‘slinging’ drinks as a bartender and ‘manned the ship’ as a bar manager. I love traveling and experiencing local brews along the way. Being a home brewer & beer geek I have great respect for the art of brewing. Myself and Ben are excited to be a part of an industry we love, providing unique and amazing craft selections to our BC peers.

I am originally from Cornwall in Southwest England and ended up in Canada on a bit of a tangent, fell in love with BC (and a girl) and I have now been here for over six years. I used to be a rugby player and therefore found my way to BC via South Africa, New Zealand and Australia after leaving England.

Over the past few years I have been fortunate enough to work for an environmental consultancy in Vancouver which has allowed me to see parts of Canada that not many people get to see. Once I started homebrewing though I knew there was no other option than for me to change tack and follow my real passion, craft beer and cider.

Where I come from in the UK there is a rich history in cider making and in the last 10 years cider’s popularity has skyrocketed nationwide. I really believe that the same enthusiasm for quality ciders exists here in BC and I am making my own personal mission to go out there and bring some back.

I was born in Vancouver and raised in the outskirts of the city. I have three wonderful older sisters and one adorable little nephew named Finley. Since a young age I’ve always had a passion for family, friendships and community building.

I have played ice hockey my entire life. I am a die-hard Vancouver Canucks fan. I love to play guitar. I was recently married to the most beautiful woman. I volunteer for a non-profit that introduces fun and exciting ways to introduce literacy for children.

Over the last decade, I worked as a bartender at night and spent the last seven years honing my skills as a home design/sales rep during the day. I fell in love with the craft beer community when I moved to Commercial DR in 2015. I love how the beer community is so welcoming and positive.
I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of this incredible community and look forward to having a bigger role within it.

I’ve grown up in Calgary since I can remember and have always loved being active and outdoors. I have a passion for all things fun and exciting and love living in Calgary due to the vast array of activities and beautiful nature that surround the city. I’ve attended Mount Royal University, University of Waterloo and finally completed my degree at the University of Calgary and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I enjoy snowboarding, calisthenics, and standing on my hands at every possible moment now that I have begun mastering my own balance. My mantra is: “Everything Happens for a Reason”.

Craft beer, cider & spirits have always intrigued me and as I began to delve into the vast array of styles and offerings that began popping up at my local craft retailer it was not long until I was hooked. As fate would have it, my sales experience and passion for craft shined through when deciding to embark on a full-time career search, which ended with my employment with Untapped Craft Imports! I couldn’t be happier that I get to wake up every day and share something I love with the world because life’s too short to drink bad beer.

I’m an Edmonton kid born and raised, and though I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit, I’ll always think of this city and community as my home. Short of a semester in Quebec, I’ve earned all my formal education in Edmonton as well, most recently completing a Master’s degree in American History from the University of Alberta in 2014. My thesis was titled, “The Communal Legitimacy of Collective Violence: Community and Politics in Antebellum New York City Irish Gang Subculture,” which pretty much means I found the nerdiest possible way to obsess over Gangs of New York for several years. When not sipping away at a new craft release I’m often found in the nearest swimming pool, a sport I’ve been involved in for most of my life.

My passion for craft beer was fostered over the past several years while working at a boutique liquor store in downtown Edmonton. The scene is youthful, vibrant, eclectic and dynamic; a joy to be a part of. I’ve found that great craft beer and cider can rise above being mere beverages to serve as cultural focal points. They can be wonderful conversation pieces, bring diverse people together for special moments and as such deserve to be shared with those we care about. I’m pleased to shift into distribution with a fantastic team like UnTapped that shares my passion. Viva la (craft) revolution!
